Built in 1775 by industrialist Charles Roe, this red-brick landmark is a much-loved community events space. Its remarkable tower adds a second clock to our little skyline.

09 / A HIDDEN TREASURE
A little sandstone treasure tucked behind King Edward Street. Dating from 1690, this Unitarian chapel carries a long tradition of religious freedom. Look for the miniature’s outside staircases.

10 / ROOM TO PLAY
A miniature celebration of South Park: an octagonal bandstand, green lawns, a tiny tennis court and a little skater in the bowl. The real park opened in 1922 and offers space for play, sport and everyday wandering.
South Park lies south of the town centre. Its landmarks are brought together here in a playful, compressed garden. The park entrance is on Park Road, off Park Lane.
